Game development training with the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation
A game-development training programme with the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, taught in Arabic and English. Teams of three to four go from a first idea and a two-minute pitch to a playable game, built in GDevelop, a free engine that needs no code to start.
From an idea to a game you can play
The game before the tool
The first session is about design, not software: what makes a game fun, the core loop, and taking apart a game you already love.
Teams and a pitch
Learners form teams of three to four with mixed skills, then pitch their game in exactly two minutes at the start of the next session.
Build day
Every rule takes the same shape, “when this happens, do this”, so by the end of the day each team’s game moves, keeps score, and can be won and lost.
Everything in two languages
The session decks, the team activities and the step-by-step build guide all exist in Arabic and English.
